I'm green™ collection by Merveyl
At Merveyl, we are always looking for new ways to meet the demands of hotels and the expectations of the public. This is why we have designed a new ecological line.
Together with Braskem, the pioneer producer of biopolymers on an industrial scale, we have developed a collection of bio-based neutral slippers and flip-flops: Using Braskem's I'm green™ EVA, we have a partnership promoting transparency on the composition of the products integrated in the slippers and flip-flops.
I'm green™ EVA is entirely based on sugar cane, an environmentally friendly, renewable, raw material and an innovation in the hotel sector!
An ecological raw material
Sugar cane absorbs CO₂ from the atmosphere throughout its growth, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and can help achieve a negative CO₂ balance.
We recycle!
I'm green™ EVA is 100% recyclable in the same stream already developed for conventional EVA.
CO₂ emissions
A spa hotel with about 150 rooms consumes an average of 50,000 pairs of flip-flops per year. Thanks to I'm green™, a saving of more than 14 tons of CO₂ can be achieved, the equivalent in CO2 emissions of 14 cars driving all year !

C02 Strategy conducted a study on the I'm green™ by Merveyl production line
The results of the study are very conclusive. Considering all of the above criteria, the production of bio-sourced flip-flops generates a reduction of our carbon footprint of about 25%.
As a bonus, sugar cane absorbs CO2 from the air around it throughout its life and fixes it in the soil. If we take this into account, the greenhouse gas emission impact of the I'm green™ collection even becomes negative!
We created our I'm green™ collection with the goal of reducing our impact on the environment. But also to give our customers the opportunity to do the same!
In order to make sure the benefits of our innovative offering were true, we called in the environmental experts! The company CO2 Strategy has therefore conducted a comprehensive study. This one allows us to compare the carbon impact of the production of traditionally plastic-based flip-flops versus I'm green™ flip-flops. We can then better understand how the creation of bio-based flip-flops reduces our CO2 emissions!
Carried out at scopes 1, 2 and 3, it takes into account: the purchase of raw materials, the transport of goods and finished products to the final customer, packaging, resources used for manufacturing in the factory, waste produced throughout the life cycle of the flip-flops, and finally all the emissions of our distribution site (energy, building and the movement of people).

Our ecological packaging
Slipper packaging
The kraft paper packaging has been specially designed for the Merveyl bio-sourced range. It contains all the information needed to understand the nature of the product. The cardboard box is adjustable to the size of the slippers and reclosable with a sticker on the back. This packaging is available in a standard version or in a customised version (with your company logo).
Packaging flip-flops & sandals
This packaging has been specially designed for Merveyl's bio-sourced flip-flops. It is a round cardboard label with 2 printable sides. This label is attached to the flip-flops in an elegant and minimalist way thanks to a cord. The packaging can be personalised with the logo of your choice on the front side.
